Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the FGr4B, FGr4S, FGr4D, FGr8B, and RM005 bundle options?

All bundles include the same NB4+ transmitter. The difference is the included receiver: FGr4B is a standard 4-channel AFHDS 3 receiver with dual antennas, ideal for most RC cars and boats. FGr4S is a slim 4-channel receiver suited for tight chassis installations. FGr4D is a 4-channel receiver with a built-in gyro for drift and on-road cars. FGr8B is an 8-channel receiver for builds requiring more channel outputs. The RM005 bundle includes a multi-protocol RF module instead of a receiver, allowing the NB4+ to control models using other protocols. Dual-receiver bundles are ideal for running two vehicles or having a spare receiver ready.

Is the NB4+ compatible with older Flysky receivers using AFHDS or AFHDS 2A protocol?

No. The Noble NB4+ uses the AFHDS 3 (third-generation) protocol exclusively. It is not backward compatible with older AFHDS or AFHDS 2A receivers. You must use AFHDS 3 compatible receivers (such as FGr4B, FGr4S, FGr4D, FGr8B, or other AFHDS 3 receivers) with this transmitter.

Does the NB4+ support i-BUS2 for servo parameter adjustment and data monitoring?

Yes. The NB4+ supports i-BUS2 protocol, which enables real-time two-way communication with compatible i-BUS2 servos such as the Power HD GTS Series. Via the NB4+ touchscreen, you can remotely adjust servo parameters including stiffness, speed, deadband, center point, and direction. The NB4 Pro version additionally supports data logging of voltage, temperature, and signal for up to 1 hour after racing.

How long does the battery last and how do I charge the NB4+?

The NB4+ features a dual-battery system: a 4300mAh LiPo battery in the handle and a 3450mAh 18650 battery in the removable base, providing extended runtime for long racing sessions. Both batteries charge via the USB Type-C port on the transmitter. Battery life varies depending on usage, but the dual-battery setup significantly extends operating time compared to single-battery transmitters.

Can the NB4+ be used as a simulator controller, and does it support trainer/student mode?

Yes on both counts. The NB4+ supports USB simulator function via its Type-C port (enabled by default), making it compatible with popular RC simulators on PC. It also supports three link modes: Trainer mode (accepts external PPM input to control the model), Student mode (outputs PPM signal only, for use with a trainer transmitter), and H Track mode (connects to a head tracker for FPV use). Two NB4+ units can be linked via a Type-C cable for trainer/student coaching sessions.
