Is the Flysky FBr8 compatible with my NB4 Pro+ transmitter?
Yes. The FBr8 uses the AFHDS 3 protocol and is fully compatible with all Flysky AFHDS 3 transmitters, including the NB4, NB4+, NB4 Pro, NB4 Pro+, and GT5. Simply bind the receiver to your transmitter following the standard AFHDS 3 binding procedure. Note: the FBr8 is NOT compatible with older AFHDS or AFHDS 2A transmitters.
What does the PPX7 waterproof rating mean? Can the FBr8 be fully submerged?
The FBr8 carries a PPX7 waterproof rating and uses a full potting (resin-filled) sealing process, making it fully waterproof and safe for complete submersion in water. This makes it ideal for RC boats, amphibious vehicles, and any application where the receiver may be exposed to water, rain, or mud.
What is the difference between the Standard Antenna (18cm) and Long Antenna (35cm) versions?
Both versions are functionally identical. The Standard 18cm antenna is compact and ideal for most 1/10 and 1/8 RC cars at typical racing distances. The Long 35cm antenna provides better signal reception for larger scale models, open-water boats, or environments with higher RF interference. Choose based on your model size and operating environment.
What signal outputs does the FBr8 support?
The FBr8 supports PWM (8 channels), PPM, i.BUS, S.BUS, and i-BUS2 outputs. i-BUS2 enables two-way communication with compatible smart servos (such as Power HD GTS series) for real-time parameter adjustment and telemetry feedback.
Can the FBr8 firmware be updated?
Yes. The FBr8 supports online firmware updates via the Flysky Assistant software. Connect the receiver to your PC using the appropriate cable and follow the update instructions in the Flysky Assistant app to keep your receiver up to date.
