Working Principle:

The system works by configuring the Type-C data interface of the NB4+/NB4 Pro+ to output a PPM signal (using the NB4+/NB4 Pro+ coaching function), and the FRM303 High Power Module is configured to recognize and process this PPM signal for extended-range control.

 

II. Installation Steps

1. Parts List

2. Installing the Front Bracket Mount

The front bracket mount requires 4 screws (Hex 1.5mm) for installation.

Important Notes:
  1. Pre-install diagonal screws first to better align and secure the mounting holes.
  2. Tighten screws until snug only. Do not overtighten to avoid damaging the screws.

3. Installing the Pro+ Battery Base Frame

The base frame requires 4 Hex 2.0mm screws for secure attachment.

4. Installing the FRM303 High Power Module

Installing the FRM303 High Power Module requires 2 Hex 1.0mm screws.

5. Connecting the Signal Cable

The FRM303 High Power Module and the signal conversion board are connected via a terminal signal cable.

Important:

The FRM303 High Power Module switch position must remain in the OFF position during installation.

6. Signal Conversion Board Battery Installation

The signal conversion board is powered by 2 x 18650 batteries and can also charge 18650 batteries.

Important:

Battery installation must follow correct polarity: positive to positive, negative to negative. Incorrect installation will cause a short circuit and damage the main board.

After installation, switch the power to the ON position. The red indicator light will illuminate.

7. FRM303 Power Cable Connection

The signal conversion board provides power to the FRM303 High Power Module.

8. Signal Conversion Board Bracket

The signal conversion board bracket requires 4 Hex 2.0mm screws for secure mounting.

During bracket installation, pay attention to the front and back orientation. The screws are secured on the FRM303 High Power Module side.

9. Signal Conversion Board Fixing Rod Installation

The fixing rod includes a metal washer. The washer must be used; otherwise, the assembly will not be secure.

III. FRM303 High Power Module and NB4 Pro+ Connection Setup

Here are the simple setup steps:
(1) Configure FRM303 to recognize PPM signals,The setting steps are as follows: 

  • Push upwards the Up key for ≥ 3S and < 9S while powering on the RF module, it enters the input signal setting state. Now LED in blue is on.
  • Push upwards the Up key or push downwards the Down key to switch the input signal. LED flashing states vary with signals as shown in the table below.
  • Press the Center key for 3S to save the settings. Push the Left key to exit the signal setting state. Blue LED Color: One-flash-one-off represents the recognition input signal PPM.

(2) Set the NB4+/NB4 Pro+ to output the PPM signal:


(3) Turn on the power of the battery dock. The Type-C port of the dock can output a PPM signal.
