Does the FS-ST16 run EdgeTX out of the box?
Yes. The FS-ST16 ships with EdgeTX pre-installed on its H7 processor. It is also compatible with Flysky proprietary firmware. You can update or switch firmware via the Type-C port and SD card slot.
What receivers are compatible with the FS-ST16?
The FS-ST16 uses Flysky's ANT protocol and is compatible with the included FS-SR8, the bonus FS-SRM, and other ANT-protocol receivers. For third-party receivers, use an external CRSF or SBUS module via the expansion bay.
What throttle type should I choose?
Left Throttle (Mode 2 equivalent) is standard for most FPV drone and airplane pilots. Right Throttle (Mode 1) is preferred in some regions. Dual-return center throttle is designed for RC car and boat use where throttle self-centers. Select your preference at checkout — throttle type cannot be changed after shipping.
Is a battery included?
No. The FS-ST16 requires two 18650 cells or a 2S LiPo battery (not included). The transmitter supports 2S LiPo balance charging directly via the USB Type-C port, so no separate charger is needed for the radio battery.
Can I connect the FS-ST16 to an RC simulator?
Yes. Connect the FS-ST16 to your PC or Mac via the USB Type-C port and it will be recognized as a joystick/HID device compatible with popular RC simulators such as Velocidrone, Liftoff, and RealFlight.
