What is i-BUS2 and do I need a Flysky transmitter to use the GTS Series?
i-BUS2 is Flysky's smart digital protocol that enables two-way communication between your transmitter and the servo. With a compatible Flysky transmitter (NB4 or NB4 Pro), you can remotely adjust servo parameters (stiffness, speed, deadband, center point, direction), monitor real-time voltage and temperature, and log data for up to 1 hour after racing. Note: the NB4 Pro is required for the data logging and monitoring function. In standard PWM mode, the GTS Series works with any conventional RC receiver without i-BUS2 features.
What is the difference between GTS-3, GTS-5, GTS-6, and GTS-7 - which one is right for my car?
All four models share the same i-BUS2 protocol, IP67 waterproof rating, and 7075 + Steel gear train, but differ in torque output, motor type, and physical size. The GTS-3 (30KG, 63g, 41x20x29mm) uses a standard brushless motor and suits 1/10 EP touring, ebuggy, and crawler builds. The GTS-5 (50KG, 63g, same footprint) upgrades to a 4-pole brushless motor for more torque in the same compact body. The GTS-6 (60KG, 78g, 40x20x38.3mm) and GTS-7 (70KG, same size) are larger-bodied servos for 1/8 and 1/5 scale platforms. Choose based on your vehicle scale and torque requirements.
Are the GTS Series servos truly waterproof - what does IP67 mean?
Yes. All GTS Series models carry an IP67 waterproof rating, which means they are fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter deep for up to 30 minutes. This makes them suitable for wet track conditions, rain racing, and off-road use where water and mud exposure is unavoidable.
What high-speed transmitter modes are supported - is it compatible with Futaba and SANWA?
Yes. In addition to Flysky i-BUS2, the GTS Series supports high-speed modes from multiple major brands: Noble NB4 Pro (NOR / SR / SFR), Futaba (NOR / SR / UR), and SANWA (NOR / SHR / SSR / SUR / SXR). It is also compatible with the Power HD PG-CB63 program box for standalone parameter adjustment without a transmitter.
What voltage should I run the GTS Series at, and is it compatible with LiPo batteries?
All GTS models operate on 6.0V to 8.4V DC, making them compatible with 2S LiPo (7.4V) and 2S LiHV (8.4V) battery systems, as well as NiMH packs at 6.0V. Running at 8.4V delivers maximum torque and speed - for example, the GTS-7 reaches 70 kg-cm at 8.4V vs 52 kg-cm at 6.0V. Do not exceed 8.4V to avoid damaging the servo.
