Hobbywing Xerun V10 G5 21.5T Competition Stock Brushless Motor - High Torque Edition

The Xerun V10 G5 21.5T is designed specifically for 1/10 scale Stock Class competition racing, including IFMAR, ROAR, and EFRA regulated stock class events. It is compatible with most popular 1/10 touring car and buggy chassis including Yokomo BD, Tamiya TRF, Xray T4, Awesomatix A800, and other standard 540-size motor mount platforms. The 21.5T wind is the most common stock class specification for 1/10 touring car and 2WD buggy competition.

The V10 G5 represents Hobbywing's fifth generation of the Xerun V10 competition motor series. Compared to the G4, the G5 features improved thermal management with an optimized cooling structure for more consistent performance during long race runs, increased power output and efficiency, refined Hall sensor timing adjustment for more precise throttle response tuning, and a modular design for easier maintenance and rotor replacement. The G5 also features optimized center of gravity placement for improved chassis balance.

The Xerun V10 G5 21.5T is a sensored brushless motor compatible with any sensored brushless ESC. For best performance in stock class competition, it pairs optimally with Hobbywing's own Xerun XR10 Pro series ESCs (XR10 Pro G2, XR10 Pro Stock Spec) which are tuned to work seamlessly with the V10 G5. It is also compatible with other high-quality sensored ESCs from brands such as Tekin, Reedy, and LRP. Ensure your ESC supports 1-2S LiPo input and sensored motor operation.

The Xerun V10 G5 features adjustable Hall sensor timing via the timing adjustment ring on the motor endbell. Timing can typically be adjusted in increments to tune power delivery characteristics - lower timing provides smoother, more linear throttle response suited for technical tracks, while higher timing increases peak power and top speed for faster, more open layouts. For stock class racing, start with the manufacturer's recommended baseline timing and adjust based on track conditions and ESC settings. Consult the included manual or Hobbywing's official documentation for specific timing positions.

The Xerun V10 G5 features a modular design that allows for straightforward maintenance. Regular maintenance includes cleaning the motor after each race session to remove dirt and debris, checking and replacing bearings when they show signs of wear or roughness, and inspecting the rotor and stator for damage. The modular construction allows the rotor to be removed and replaced without specialized tools. Avoid using water or liquid cleaners directly on the motor - use compressed air or a dry brush to clean. Hobbywing recommends periodic bearing replacement for competitive use.
