What is the difference between the Standard and Upgraded edition?
Both editions include the same Flysky FS-ST8 transmitter and an FS-SR8 receiver. The Upgraded edition (shipped weight ~900g vs ~600g for Standard) includes additional accessories. Please contact support@soarskyrc.com to confirm the exact upgraded bundle contents before ordering.
Does the FS-ST8 have a built-in battery charger?
No. The FS-ST8 has no built-in charging port. It runs on 4×AA batteries or a 2S LiPo (JST connector). If you use a LiPo battery, you will need a separate LiPo balance charger. The Type-C port on the transmitter is for firmware updates and simulator connections only.
What receivers are compatible with the FS-ST8?
The FS-ST8 uses Flysky's ANT protocol and is compatible with the included FS-SR8 and any other ANT-protocol receiver. It is not directly compatible with AFHDS 2A or AFHDS 3 receivers without an adapter.
Can I use the FS-ST8 with an RC flight simulator?
Yes. Connect the FS-ST8 to your PC via the USB Type-C port or the 3.5mm DSC jack to use it as a joystick-compatible controller with popular RC simulators such as Velocidrone, Liftoff, Betaflight Configurator, and RealFlight.
How many model profiles can the FS-ST8 store?
The FS-ST8 supports storing multiple model profiles with customizable mixing, dual-rate curves, and throttle curves. Refer to the RGB Assistant 3.0 software and user manual for exact model memory capacity and programming guidance.
