What do the motor specifications mean?
3536 = 35mm outer diameter, 36mm length. KV850 = 850 RPM per volt. This is the factory power configuration for the PA-18.
What propeller should I use with this motor?
The PA-18 factory uses an 11×7 inch 2-blade nylon propeller (Propeller 117). Use the same spec when replacing the motor, or follow factory recommendations.
Can this motor be powered by a 3S battery directly?
Yes. This motor is designed for 3S (11.1V) operation. 3S × 850KV = ~9,435 RPM no-load, matching the PA-18's power requirements.
What ESC should I pair with this motor?
The factory pairs this with a 40A ESC. When replacing the motor, ensure the ESC amperage is sufficient and matches the 3.5mm bullet connectors.
What should I note during installation?
Verify the motor rotation direction (CCW for standard prop) before installation. Check propeller security after mounting. Apply thermal paste evenly between motor and motor board for heat dissipation.
