How to solve the problem of Flysky Noble NB4 not turning on

Flysky Noble series products including NB4/NB4+/NB4 Pro/NB4 Pro+ may not turn on. There are several reasons for this situation, and the solutions are different for different reasons. Here are some troubleshooting methods to confirm the cause more accurately and quickly.

(1)

Phenomenon: Press the power button and hear the power-on sound, but the screen does not light up.

Analysis: The remote control can hear the sound, which means that the entire power supply circuit is normal and there is no open circuit or short circuit in any part of the circuit. However, the screen does not work properly and is in a dark state, which means that the cause of the fault may be on the screen.

In this case, you can disassemble the motherboard and the screen, and check whether the FPC cable of the screen is firmly connected to the motherboard. If the screen cable falls off, the screen will be black. Confirm that the FPC cable is normal, then there is a high probability that the screen is damaged. You can try to replace the screen.

The above is a correctly connected FPC cable. If the cable is not firmly connected, the screen may not start normally.

Phenomenon: When the power button is pressed, the remote control does not reverse.

Analysis: (A) The first reason: The 18650 inside the remote control is out of power. Its voltage is too low, even lower than 3.0V. In this case, the remote control cannot be turned on. You can try to charge the remote control for 3-4 hours and then try to turn it on. If it still cannot be turned on, you can choose to replace the 18650 battery.

The normal voltage of 18650 is about 3.7-4.2V.

(B) The second reason: If the voltage of the 18650 battery measured in (A) is normal, then we need to rule out whether there is a fault in the power supply circuit of the power supply PCBA.

To rule out whether there is a fault in the power supply PCBA, you can follow this method to detect it.

Check whether the positive pole of the power cord terminal and the positive pole of the battery compartment are conductive. If not, it is likely that the power PCBA has failed. The repair can be completed by replacing the power PCBA.

A normal power supply PCBA can detect the voltage of the 18650 battery.

I recommend using the NB4+ power supply PCBA, because the NB4+ power supply PCBA has an additional power management chip, which has a low voltage protection function. If you are interested, you can check the user manual of this chip. In the picture above, the right side is the NB4+ power supply PCBA, and you can see that there is an additional chip.

The damage of the power supply PCBA is often caused by the incorrect installation of the 18650 battery, such as the positive and negative poles are installed in reverse, resulting in a short circuit.

(3) If the above (1) and (2) are normal, or the problem cannot be solved after the replacement, you can also check whether the power switch is normal. The power switch of NB4, NB4+, NB4 Pro+, etc. is a reset switch. After pressing the switch, the switch is turned on.

The above are several methods I use to troubleshoot the problem of Flysky Noble failing to boot up. The general idea is to troubleshoot by judging whether the power supply circuit is normal. Of course, there are other problems, such as whether the motherboard cable is firmly installed and whether the motherboard FPC interface is damaged.

If you have any other better ways, you can share them with me, or tell me directly if I have made any mistakes.
