Description
The iFlight Borg Mini F7 Stack combines an STM32F722 flight controller, onboard 2.4GHz ELRS receiver and Borg 60RS 4-in-1 ESC for racing FPV builds. It supports the listed 4–8S battery range, including LiHV, and provides 5V and switchable 12V power outputs on the FC. Both boards use 20 × 20 mm mounting, but their outlines are larger: check the dimensions, cable routing and frame clearance before assembly.
Key Features
- F7 processing: STM32F722RET6 MCU with ICM42688 gyro and 16MB Blackbox flash for flight logging.
- Onboard radio receiver: 2.4GHz ELRS hardware with the supplied guide also illustrating an external CRSF receiver option.
- FC power outputs: listed 5V / 2.5A and 12V / 2A BECs, with remote switching of the 12V VTX rail.
- FPC interconnect: a ribbon joins the FC and ESC. The supplied source also describes SH1.0 peripheral connectors; always verify the actual pinout and contact orientation.
- 60RS ESC construction: listed eight-layer, 3 oz PCB, onboard polymer capacitors and anti-spark/filter circuitry. These features do not guarantee immunity to spikes, shorts or installation errors.
- Build reference diagrams: five supplied wiring sheets cover the FC, receivers, video systems, LED/buzzer, ESC ribbon, GPS and mounting dimensions.

Flight Controller Specifications & Pinout

Confirm the board revision and supported firmware before flashing. The target name is a supplied hardware reference, not a verified current download. Do not use Borg Mini H7 firmware or copy its UART assignments into this F7 setup.

Onboard & External Receivers
The source describes onboard antenna hardware and support for an external antenna, but does not establish a separate included antenna inventory. Confirm the antenna arrangement and required firmware for your actual board before use.
The external TBS/ELRS CRSF examples on sheet 2 use T5, R5, 5V and GND on UART5. Connect FC TX to receiver RX and FC RX to receiver TX, following the receiver's actual labels and supply requirements. The illustrated setup uses Serial (via UART), CRSF and telemetry. Select the intended receiver input rather than enabling conflicting receiver ports.
The external receiver and GPS drawings both use UART5 as separate examples. Do not wire both devices to the same TX/RX pair. If both are required, plan a separate available UART and configure it for the intended function. The onboard receiver's listed allocation is UART2.
The combined DJI and external-receiver reference sheet appears in the next section. Verify transmitter compatibility, binding, channel response, antenna installation and failsafe before flight.
60RS ESC Specifications
Current ratings depend on operating conditions and cooling. The onboard polymer capacitors are described as reducing the need for external filtering in racing installations; they are not a universal instruction to omit an external capacitor. Confirm the manufacturer's recommendation for the battery, wiring and build.
The original ESC specification states no current sensor, although the FC interconnect diagram includes CUR labels. Those labels alone do not prove that the supplied ESC has a working, calibrated sensor. Confirm the hardware revision before relying on current or consumed-mAh data. Telemetry and bidirectional DShot are separate features. The listed 5V and 12V BEC ratings belong to the FC.
Digital & Analog Video Wiring
UART1 is the supplied VTX allocation. The guide illustrates Vista, DJI O3, O4 Pro and standard O4 connections, plus external CRSF receivers. Match the exact video unit's voltage, pin order and firmware requirements; a matching plug does not establish electrical compatibility.

The standard O4 example uses a different supply connection from the 12V examples. Do not reuse another Air Unit's power connection without checking. The guide's Betaflight 4.4 note refers to VTX (MSP + Displayport) for digital OSD on the relevant port; match configuration to the actual firmware.
SBUS applies only to a supported DJI radio-control path. It is not an instruction to configure ELRS/CRSF as SBUS. Confirm the actual goggles, controller and Air Unit combination and match normal/fast SBUS settings at both ends where required.

For the illustrated analog path, camera video connects to CAM and the video output connects to VTX. Supply, ground and VTX control are separate connections. Select the control protocol supported by the actual VTX, such as SmartAudio or IRC Tramp. Keep the total load on each BEC within its rating.
GPS, LED, Buzzer & Installation
The supplied UART plan is UART1 for VTX, UART2 for the onboard receiver, UART3/4/5 for compatible serial peripherals and UART6 for ESC telemetry. Peripheral examples are not instructions to assign several devices to one UART.

Follow the illustrated LED data, power and ground connections, and the separate buzzer connection. With power disconnected, check the ribbon's contact orientation at both ends. Do not assume another brand's ESC is pin-compatible.

The GPS example connects FC R5 to GPS TX and FC T5 to GPS RX, with the illustrated 5V and GND supply. For supported I2C functions, connect SDA to SDA and SCL to SCL. The guide states SDA/SCL cannot be remapped to UARTs. Its UBLOX settings are an example, not a universal configuration for every GPS.
The dimension drawing shows a 34 × 28.5 mm FC, 45 × 35 mm ESC, 20 × 20 mm mounting and 17 mm / 14 mm assembly reference dimensions. Check your mounting hardware, FPC loop and peripheral wiring rather than treating either assembly annotation as guaranteed frame clearance.
- Check board outlines, mounting clearance, USB access and insulation from conductive frame parts.
- With power disconnected, check ribbon seating, contact orientation, solder joints, battery polarity and each peripheral's supply and signal pinout.
- Remove propellers before electrical checks, firmware work and motor tests. Inspect for shorts before connecting the battery.
- Confirm the board revision and supported firmware target, then back up the existing configuration before changing ports or modes.
- Verify receiver operation and failsafe, motor mapping/direction, video/OSD and VTX switching before flight.

VTX Power-Switch Reference
The supplied VTX sheet describes a controllable 12V output, with AUX9 in the illustrated factory configuration. Its switch example uses a 1600–2000 range, while the original CLI block below uses 900–2100. Configure the intended switch range and test actual power states rather than copying the example blindly.
This F7 reference uses resource C0, not the H7 reference's D10. Back up your configuration and verify the board revision, firmware, PINIO resource, AUX channel/range and existing mode assignments. The block includes a save command and may replace an existing AUX entry. Test with propellers removed.
resource PINIO 1 C0
set pinio_config = 1,1,1,1
set pinio_box = 40,41,255,255
set box_user_1_name = VTX_ON_OFF
aux 0 40 8 900 2100 0 0
save
The block is retained verbatim from the original product source as a configuration reference, not a universal preset. A mode indicator alone does not verify the output voltage or correct VTX operation.

Product FAQ
Is this the Borg Mini H7?
No. This is the F7 version with STM32F722RET6, 16MB Blackbox flash and the listed IFLIGHT_BLITZ_F722 target. Use its own wiring and firmware references.
Which UART does the onboard receiver use?
The supplied allocation is UART2. External CRSF receiver and GPS diagrams each use UART5 as separate examples; they must not share that TX/RX pair in one build.
Does 20 × 20 mm describe the board dimensions?
No. It is the mounting pattern. The FC is listed as 34 × 28.5 mm and the ESC as 45 × 35 mm, each with a ±1 mm tolerance.
Does ESC telemetry guarantee current measurement?
No. The specification lists no current sensor, despite CUR labels in the interconnect drawing. Confirm the actual ESC hardware before relying on current or consumed-mAh data.
Can I use any VTX with the 12V output?
No. Match the exact device voltage, load, pinout and control protocol. The guide distinguishes standard O4 power wiring from its 12V examples.
